This part of IEC 60092 is applicable to all operations and work activities on fixed electrical generation, conversion, and distribution systems, as well as electrical equipment in ships, including up to and including 15 kV AC and up to and including 1500 V DC.
This standard outlines the requirements for the safe conduct of operations and work activities involving electrical installations. These requirements are relevant to operational, working, and maintenance procedures. It applies to all electrical work activities, as well as non-electrical work activities such as structural work near electrical equipment and cables.
This standard does not apply to ordinary individuals when using installations and equipment, provided that the installations and equipment are designed and installed for use by passengers and comply with the relevant requirements of IEC 60092.
