The function of a power inverter is to use an output signal to control the operation of a motor, typicallyintegrated in a system of equipment that delivers services such as water treatment and building airconditioning and heating. This PCR uses a cradle to gate with options scope with a declared unit or,when the power inverter application is known, a cradle to grave scope with a functional unit. Section 2.2discusses these units and defines them for the power inverter product category.
