ISO 20433:2024 outlines a method for measuring the amount of color transferred from the surface of colored leather to other surfaces through rubbing.
Two separate tests are performed: one using a dry rubbing cloth and the other with a wet rubbing cloth.
This method is suitable for all types of colored leather. Given that after-treatments and surface finishes can influence the extent of color transfer, the test may be conducted both before and after these treatments.
