ISO 11943:2018 sets forth procedures for:
- Verifying the accuracy of equipment utilized in the preparation of secondary calibration suspensions for automatic particle counters;
- Conducting real-time secondary calibration on automatic particle counters;
- Aligning two or more online particle counters, which involves counting an identical number of particles of a specified size through two or more Automatic Particle Counters (APCs) connected online;
- Validating online particle counting systems, both with and without real-time dilution, as employed, for instance, to assess the filtration efficiency of a hydraulic filter, as detailed in the multipass filter test as per ISO 16889.
