Section of ISO/IEC 21000 details:
- The format for Event Report Requests (ER-R), which include details on the specific Events to be reported, the information that should be included in the report, and the intended recipient of the report;
- The structure of Event Reports (ER) that an MPEG-21 Peer generates in response to an Event Report Request upon satisfying the conditions outlined in the ER-R.
Event Report Requests are employed to define a set of criteria that, when met, prompt a Peer to produce an Event Report and dispatch it to a designated recipient. These requests also dictate the information that must be incorporated into the Event Report. The scope of Event Reporting is confined to the communication of Events between Peers and does not encompass the internal reporting of Events within a Peer’s own system.
