This Standard provides classification guidelines for the durability of galvanized and electrogalvanized coatings for structural steel applications in various atmospheric environments.
NOTES:
1 Non-atmospheric corrosion environments are not considered in this part of the Standard.
2 This Standard does not cover durability of galvanized and electrogalvanized coatings on steel fasteners in detail.
3 This Standard excludes other protective systems applied over galvanized or electrogalvanized coatings.
