IEC 60294:2012 is applicable to cylindrical capacitors and resistors intended for use in electronic equipment. It outlines measurement methods for determining the body length and for assessing any excessive protective coating that may extend onto the wire terminations of components featuring axial wire terminations. Additionally, it provides a procedure for measuring the overall body diameter of cylindrical components with axial wire terminations.
