This part of IEC 61249 specifies the properties required for brominated epoxy non-woven/woven reinforced E-glass laminates, with a specified flammability (vertical burning test) ranging from 0.80 mm to 1.70 mm in thickness. The flammability rating is achieved through the use of brominated fire retardants that react as part of the epoxy polymer structure. The glass transition temperature is set at a minimum of 95°C.
